We are in third-term of 2015/2016 academic year. PEI will break for holidays from August 4, 2016 to September 6, 2016 in the 2016/2016 school year. The third-term of the 2015/2016 school year consists of 14 weeks.
- May 3rd 2016 – School Re-opens for 3rd term
- May 15th 2016 – Parent Teacher Conference
- June 30th – July 1st 2016 – Mid-term Holidays
- July 6th 2016 – Public Holiday – Ramadan feast
- July 18th – 29th 2016 – Examination period
- August 4th 2016 – School breaks for 3rd term school holidays
- September 6th – School Re-opens for 2016/2017 school year

Improving school attendance is one of the government’s high priorities because children need to be in school to benefit from the teaching and learning opportunities.
Children who miss school for holidays can result in schools not meeting their attendance and academic targets. At PEI, we have at least 97% of school attendance.
